Imogen Brave is a hard rock band from Adelaide.
Biography[]
Beginning as a solo song-writing project in 2005, South Australian band Imogen Brave has since become a female-fronted hard rock band. Guitarist Mick McClounan was joined by vocalist Stef Crowley in the early days, conceptualising their current sound before recruiting drummer Andy Cienciala and their original bassist. After honing their performances for a number of years the band released their début EP ‘Open Heart’ in 2011 with highly positive local reception.
After touring throughout 2012/13, supporting a number of well respected acts, featuring on Foxtel’s Music Room TV, and headlining the iconic ‘The Gov’ the band hit the studio to record their follow-up EP entitled ‘Fall or Fly’, released worldwide on-line in February 2015. The band went on to support KISS founding member Ace Frehley in the Adelaide leg of his Australian/NZ headline tour in May of that year, following up their EP release with three subsequent music videos for their singles 'Bang, Dead!', 'Alive', and 'Nothing At All'.
The band's repertoire of songs explore themes of independence sought, love lost, and feelings of helplessness and addiction. Songwriting for their third release commenced in 2016, with pre-production beginning in the latter part of the year and continuing into early 2017.
