Julia Henning is an indie pop artist from Adelaide.

Biography[]

In 2012 with one independent release under her belt, Julia booked two shows at the Sydney Opera House, playing to a full house each night. This performance became a live EP and a documentary tailing the lead up to these career defining shows has recently been released.

In 2013, Julia and her band recorded their debut album, 'Fledgling' with Govinda Doyle (Angus & Julia Stone). Released in August 2014, the first three singles 'Tempest', 'December' & 'Another Day', have all topped the Triple J’s Unearthed chart, claiming #1 Overall rankings. Julia’s music has also been featured on Season 5 of Channel Ten’s Gold Logie winning drama, Offspring.

In September '14, Julia and her band enjoyed a successful 12 date national tour to promote the new album to a plethora of enviable live reviews. Julia was recently crowned South Australia’s ‘Favourite Artist’ and her song ‘Tempest’ was awarded ‘Best Song’ in the prestigious Fowlers Live Music Awards.

With the most recent release of ‘Drifter’, the fourth single from Julia’s genre defying ‘Fledgling’ Album, she plans to take the country by storm once again – announcing a 10 date National Tour in January and a performance at renowned music festival WOMADelaide.
