The band was founded by [[Max Tulysewski]] ([[Donnarumma]], [[Bearded Gypsy Band]]) in 2012 with an eye to creating a studio album for his 12th grade music course. However, it wasn't until after high school that he chose to pursue MM&THY as a larger-scale musical project.

Since its inception, Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs has steadily grown from a trio to a six-piece band featuring Max Tulysewski on vocals and a range of instruments, Tim Moors ([[Super Team]]) on keytar, Grace Tulysewski on keyboard, [[Kyle Opie]] ([[The Cortex Shift]], [[Misfits of Sythia]]) on guitar, Will Hoskin on bass and Dylan Oke on drums.

In 2013, Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs released their début EP, [[Live at the Ed Castle]], through Open Grave Records and played a number of shows in support of bands such as Ben David & The Banned, Max Goes to Hollywood (VIC), The Roshambos (QLD), Stock Exchange, The Shadow League (VIC), Pimpin' Horus and Gemini Downs. They also headlined Open Grave Records' inaugural Blue Lagoon music festival and performed at the opening night of the SALA Festival's Gum Drop Fluoro Disco, hosted by local installation artist, Monica Pritchard.

Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs is an alternative rock band from Adelaide, SA.

Biography[]

The band was founded by Max Tulysewski (Donnarumma, Bearded Gypsy Band) in 2012 with an eye to creating a studio album for his 12th grade music course. However, it wasn't until after high school that he chose to pursue MM&THY as a larger-scale musical project.

Since its inception, Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs has steadily grown from a trio to a six-piece band featuring Max Tulysewski on vocals and a range of instruments, Tim Moors (Super Team) on keytar, Grace Tulysewski on keyboard, Kyle Opie (The Cortex Shift, Misfits of Sythia) on guitar, Will Hoskin on bass and Dylan Oke on drums.
