Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs is an alternative rock band from Adelaide, SA.

Biography

The band was founded in 2012 by Max Tulysewski (Ellipsis, Bearded Gypsy Band) with an eye to creating a studio album for his 12th grade music course. However, it wasn't until after high school that he chose to pursue MMATHY as a larger-scale musical project.

Since its inception, Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs has grown to a six-piece band featuring Max Tulysewski on vocals and a range of instruments, Tim Moors (Super Team, Decadence) on piano, organ and keyboards, Grace Tulysewski on keyboards and synthesizers, Kyle Opie (Ellipsis, Misfits of Sythia) on electric guitar, Will Hoskin on bass guitar and Dylan Oke on drums.

In 2013, Max Madman & The Heck Yeahs released their debut EP, Live at the Ed Castle, through Open Grave Records and played a number of shows in support of bands such as Ben David & The Banned, Max Goes to Hollywood (VIC), The Roshambos (QLD), Stock Exchange, The Shadow League (VIC), Pimpin' Horus and Gemini Downs. They also headlined Open Grave Records' inaugural Blue Lagoon music festival and performed at the opening night of the SALA Festival's Gum Drop Fluoro Disco, hosted by local installation artist, Monica Pritchard.
