Peter Because (Born on July 18, 1981) was an Australian singer, producer, songwriter, painter and comedian based in Adelaide, South Australia. He is known as a founding member of Australian experimental pop duo Purple Johnson Blimp Situation, a solo noise artist as Ghostskull, Reverend in The Church of The SubGenius, multi-instrumentalist as Ray Martin Bryant in Secret Salmon, one half of the comedy group EP Productions and former singer and founding member of KcaveMen.
"Sound has always been apart of existence,language was one of the first sounds, language is nothing but noise used as symbols to communicate ideas,thoughts,emotions and experiences,noise that is composed of low frequency energy vibrating higher frequency energy,imparting pure energy in through the symbols. These pieces are exactly the same. The sounds of uncensored existence,the sounds of universal lore/law, audio hallucinations."
Peter Because has a penchant for all things abnormal, relating to the perceived superiority in abnormality his works are surreal to say the least. He was heavily influenced by Mike Patton, John Zorn, Merzbow, Marilyn Manson and many more.
